We weren’t kidding, our London Marathon giveaway really did come back bigger and better. The energy was buzzing last week as our incredible team of therapists delivered much-needed post-race recovery to an astonishing 180 participants! Witnessing their inspiring dedication and hearing their stories was a true privilege.
The 30-minute sessions were tailored to each runner’s individual needs. They included a brief assessment, along with a personalised treatment plan. The sessions were highly beneficial to our runners, who were all eager to know when they could get back on their feet!
“Very helpful and excellent advice” – Georgina B
“Professional and helpful with my injury rehabilitation” – John K
Check out what they had to say about their sessions here ↓
We loved getting to know all of our runners and their personal and diverse motivations for completing the race, but there were a few who were really special. Jerry, pictured here with Nicole, was celebrating running his 5th London Marathon (he’s done more elsewhere too!). First-time marathon runner Jasmine was running to raise money for Samaritans, in memory of a friend she lost last year, which is truly inspirational.
From personal goals and pushing their limits, to fundraising for incredible causes, and even the sheer luck of that ballot place, all of our runners had their ‘why’. Hear first-hand the diverse motivations that fuelled these amazing athletes!
Meeting all these determined runners and helping them recover was an honour. We are so proud to be part of such an inspirational community.
A big thank you to everyone who shared and participated, including our friends who supported the campaign from Wandsworth Runners, BatterseaBeat, to the Wimbledon Village Group and NappyValley.
