This November marks one year since we opened our physiotherapy clinic on St John’s Hill, just 10 minutes from Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town, and what a year it’s been!
From day one, we’ve felt genuinely welcomed by the Battersea, Clapham Junction and Wandsworth communities, and we’re taking a moment to celebrate that support in the best way we know how, by giving something back.
To mark the occasion, we’re running a £100 gift card giveaway, in partnership with our friends at Best of South West London. The lucky winner will receive £100 credit to use on any treatment at our St John’s Hill clinic. You’ll find full details on how to enter further down this page, but first, a little bit more about our journey!
If you’re new to the name, Nordic Balance is a London-based, family-run business run by Joanna and Pierre Meyer that’s been supporting local communities’ health and wellbeing since 2008. We began in the heart of St James’s and have grown steadily across Clapham, Wimbledon, and now Battersea, with our newest clinic based on St John’s Hill.
Across every location, our goal is the same: to help people move, feel and live better, whether that’s through injury recovery, rehab after surgery, or long-overdue care for something that’s been niggling for too long.
Our team includes physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, sports massage therapists, rehab specialists and personal trainers, all working together to provide expert, personalised treatment that fits around real lives.
We’re not into gimmicks or endless treatment plans. Instead, we offer evidence-led care with real results, and many people feel a difference after just one session.
By late 2024, we’d seen growing demand for trusted physiotherapy and sports injury rehab in the area, particularly from people living and working around Clapham Junction and Battersea. Many of whom were already familiar with Nordic Balance.
St John’s Hill offered the perfect spot. Central, walkable from Clapham Junction station, and rooted in a thriving local community. Since opening, we’ve seen people come through our doors with a wide range of issues, from marathon training injuries to back pain and long-term mobility problems.
And the response has been incredibly humbling. Over the past 12 months, we’ve welcomed hundreds of residents from SW11 and beyond, many through word-of-mouth referrals, local events, and neighbouring fitness and sports networks.
“I’ve had such a positive experience at Nordic Balance. From my first appointment, the atmosphere feels welcoming and professional. Georgia has been incredible in helping me work through my issues. She takes time to listen, explains everything clearly, and makes each session feel tailored to my needs. What I value most is how I noticed improvements. The adjustments are effective, and I always leave feeling better, lighter and more mobile. On top of that, Georgia gives me practical advice and exercises I can do at home, which makes a huge difference in my day-to-day comfort. The whole experience is supportive, professional, and genuinely caring. I feel like I’m not just getting treatment, but also learning how to take better care of myself long-term.” Cookie P.
Our first year on St John’s Hill has been about more than clinical care. It’s been about being part of the community.
We’ve partnered with brilliant local groups like Wandsworth Runners, who’ve invited us along to their weekly run meets to offer warm-down advice and injury prevention tips. We’ve built links with CrossFit gym F45 Clapham Junction, offering support to their members who want to train pain-free and recover faster. And we’re proud to be now the primary pitch-side support and official sponsor of Ironsides Rugby Club, helping their players stay match-fit and bounce back stronger.
These relationships matter to us because at the heart of everything we do is people-first, community-rooted care.
Looking ahead to year two, our goals remain focused and simple. Offering expert-led, personalised care that supports people to move, feel and live better.
We’re planning to grow our team, invest in further training and equipment, and continue to collaborate with the local community near Clapham Junction, Battersea and Wandsworth, from runners and gym-goers to parents and desk workers.
We’ll also be continuing to support Ironsides Rugby pitch-side and exploring new ways to offer workshops and educational sessions in collaboration with other local businesses.
One year might sound small, but for us, it represents thousands of moments of care. The kind where someone walks in feeling stuck or sore, and walks out with real relief and a plan that makes sense for them.
To mark our first birthday, we’ve teamed up with Best of Battersea and Best of Clapham, and we’re giving away a £100 Nordic Balance gift card, redeemable on any treatment at our St John’s Hill clinic near Clapham Junction.
To enter, head over to Instagram and follow the instructions.
Hurry, prize draw ends 19th November 2025. One winner will be selected.
To everyone who’s supported us in our first year, thank you. And to anyone we haven’t met yet, we’re here when you’re ready.
