Build your caseload with motivated private clients in established London neighbourhoods.
About this role
Nordic Balance is seeking a self-employed Sports Therapist or Sports Massage Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinic in SW19. This is a rare handover opportunity to take over the active list of a long-standing team member who is relocating abroad at the end of October.
Instead of building a diary from scratch, you will step into an established schedule with an immediate flow of loyal, recurring patients. We are targeting a late October start to allow for a structured clinical handover.

Our SW19 clinic serves a highly motivated “Corporate Athlete” demographic. Our patient data shows a high proportion of desk-bound professionals who train intensely (5+ sessions per week) for endurance events, marathons, triathlons, and skiing. They view soft-tissue therapy and injury rehabilitation as essential components of their physical performance.
Immediate Patient Flow (Direct Handover): Step directly into a mature diary vacated by a departing therapist who has built strong relationships within the local community.
Warm MDT Referral Pipeline: Work alongside our team of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, and Podiatrists. Our clinical team operates at high capacity, ensuring a continuous stream of internal cross-referrals.
Clinical Environment: We do not offer generic spa treatments. Our focus is on clinical reasoning, deep tissue work, remedial massage, and active recovery for active individuals.
Zero Administrative Friction: Focus 100% of your energy on client treatment and retention. Our dedicated front-of-house team manages all diary bookings, customer enquiries, billing, and re-booking logistics.
The Role
We are looking for an autonomous, commercially aware practitioner who takes full ownership of their clients’ treatment journeys.
Caseload Ownership: Take over and retain a stable list of regular patients, guiding them from acute symptom relief to proactive, long-term maintenance.
Commercial Mindset: You understand that client compliance, clear re-booking rationale, and proactive diary management are key to long-term success.
Schedule & Availability: 2 to 3 shifts per week (covering a balanced mix of morning, evening, or weekend blocks to match the departing therapist’s diary).
Clinical Autonomy: Full freedom to assess, treat, and develop treatment plans as an independent contractor.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of post-qualification clinical experience in a private MSK, sports clinic, or performance setting.
- High proficiency in deep tissue, remedial soft-tissue techniques, myofascial release, and postural load management. An understanding of active rehabilitation and biomechanics is strongly valued.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate treatment value, establish immediate rapport, and maintain high patient retention.
- Fully insured with a minimum of Level 4 or Level 5 in Sports Massage Therapy, or a degree in Sports Therapy / Soft Tissue Therapy.

- Assess and treat a varied musculoskeletal caseload
- Develop individual treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Deliver high-quality physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation

- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Contribute to the wider clinic and patient experience.
