Desk Assessments London
Desk assessments led by DSE-trained osteopaths
Our osteopaths regularly see postural injuries such as neck and back pain, headaches, and carpal tunnel symptoms in clients who spend long hours at a desk. That firsthand experience led us to offer workplace desk assessments for businesses across London.
Delivered by a DSE-certified osteopath, both our in-office and remote assessments look at how your workstation is set up and where practical changes could reduce strain, improve comfort and support better working habits. We can assess individual desks or larger teams, and we also offer remote options for home workers.
Note: In-office assessments are currently available in Central London.
Small changes that make a big difference at work
We look closely at the details that shape how comfortable your workday feels, from chair height and screen position to your keyboard, mouse, and footrest, then turn them into practical changes you can use. You’ll receive clear recommendations to help reduce unnecessary strain, improve comfort and create a setup that supports better working habits.
Home workers can book a remote assessment via a secure video call to review their home office setup. Assessments start from £150 + VAT per desk, with half-day and full-day options available for larger teams.

Still have questions?
A DSE assessment reviews the risks associated with using Display Screen Equipment such as computers, laptops, tablets and other workplace screens. It looks at how your workstation is set up, how you work at it and where changes could improve comfort and reduce unnecessary physical strain.
A display screen assessment is another term for a DSE or workstation assessment. It covers your screen alongside the rest of your setup, including your chair, desk, keyboard, mouse, foot support and general working environment.
Your desk assessment is delivered by a DSE-certified osteopath who regularly treats the physical problems associated with desk-based work, including neck and back pain, headaches, wrist discomfort and carpal tunnel symptoms.
That clinical experience means they can consider both the workstation itself and how your body is responding to it, giving you recommendations grounded in ergonomics and musculoskeletal health.
You or your employer will receive a written report outlining the findings and key recommendations. These may include changes to your existing setup or equipment such as a laptop stand, footrest, split keyboard, different chair or standing desk.
Nordic Balance follows up around one month later to check how the new setup is working for you.
