Exercise & Injury Rehabilitation
Bounce back post-injury with expert exercise rehabilitation
Building a strong, functional body is central to our approach. Delivered by experienced sports therapists, exercise & injury rehabilitation sessions are active and progressive, focusing on rebuilding movement, strength, and confidence through hands-on treatment and progressive exercise. It’s a good choice when pain or injury has left you weaker, restricted or unsure what your body can safely handle next.
Exercise & injury rehabilitation is available at our St. James’s, Clapham, Battersea and Wimbledon Village clinics and requires an initial assessment.
Creating a stronger, more resilient body
Exercise rehabilitation can support recovery following surgery, sprains, strains, lower-back problems, sports injuries and other musculoskeletal injuries. Sessions include exercises designed to rebuild strength, function, and movement patterns, helping you return to everyday activities, exercise, or sport.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include bodyweight exercises, free weights and functional movement work using the gym and dedicated training spaces within our clinic.
If your symptoms require a physiotherapy assessment or another clinical approach, we’ll let you know and connect you with the right practitioner at Nordic Balance.

Exercise rehab for sports injuries
When sport matters to you, recovery is about more than getting out of pain. You want to know your body is ready to run, lift, turn, accelerate and handle training again. Your sports therapist will assess how you move and identify where strength, mobility or control needs rebuilding. From there, rehabilitation progresses around the demands of your sport, helping you move from early recovery towards full activity with clear goals along the way.
We use VALD DynaMo technology to objectively measure strength and range of motion, giving you clear data to track your progress throughout rehabilitation.
Still have questions?
Both can help with musculoskeletal injuries, but different practitioners deliver them. Exercise rehabilitation is led by sports therapists and focuses on rebuilding movement, strength and confidence through hands-on treatment and progressive exercise. Registered physiotherapists deliver physiotherapy, which may be more appropriate after surgery, for more complex conditions, or when your health insurer requires it. If you’re unsure which to book, we’ll guide you.
New to Nordic Balance? Start with an initial assessment so we can understand your symptoms, assess the issue and agree on the right treatment plan. For ongoing care, book a 30- or 45-minute follow-up depending on your plan. A reassessment is required if it’s been more than six months since your last visit, or if your injury, symptoms or treatment needs have changed. If you’re using private health insurance, please contact us before booking.
Your first chiropractic assessment usually lasts up to 45 minutes. During that time, your chiropractor will assess your symptoms, movement and relevant medical history, explain their diagnosis, talk you through your treatment options and agree on a clear plan with you. If it’s safe and appropriate, treatment can also begin in that first session.
Your first appointment starts with a full assessment, including your medical history, movement tests and relevant clinical tests to understand your injury and what is limiting you. Treatment may combine hands-on therapy with techniques such as acupuncture, joint mobilisation or manipulation, depending on what you need.
You’ll also leave with a tailored exercise plan that builds on the work done during your appointment, helping you keep progressing between sessions. As your movement and strength improve, your therapist will adapt the programme around what you need to get back to — from everyday activity to full training or sport.
